This review is from: Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain Pro 8-Channel A/D & D/A Converter with Premium Mic Preamplifiers (Electronics)
I bought this to add 8 channels of recording to my Tascam FW1804 (which has 8 ADAT in along with 8 analoge). Works great as long as you make sure you have everything synced correctly. I've read reviews from others saying it "pops" or whatever. Just make sure you have your audio interfaced synced to the ADA8000 and make sure the sampling rate is the same and you will have no problems.

The other is that the gain suddenly goes from a very hot setting to maxed out distortion in one "click". I would recommend using a mixer to trim the levels and run the mixer's insert line to the line in on the ADA8000 to give you more discrete control.

The tone seems okay but I usually use the ADA8000 channels on drums only saving my better preamps for drum overheads and other full spectrum instruments.

I have only taken this thing out on about 5 remote recording... Read more
